Version 2

I did this one quickly as an entry into the RARA’s stool making competition. Convenient I know.

A cad model of a hexagonal prism stool assembled from sheets of plywood joined with lasercut finger joints. The flat panels made up the stool laid out to fit into a rectangle that represents my stock.
CAD model and laid out flat for lasercutting.
The pieces from the stool cut out in 6mm ply and laid flat on a table. I’ve arranged them so they unfolded like a strange flower or starfish. An arty shot showing the glue oozing out of the zipper like shape formed when the finger jointed parts join at 30 degrees.
