European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts

I worked on bringing new kinds of data into the ECMWF’s weather forecast. Think air quality sensors attached to vehicles or wind data coming from off shore wind farms. As part of that work I built a streaming system for IoT data named IonBeam.

Next I designed a compressed tree data structure for indexing ECMWFs data which became the qubed project.
